WHAT ARE THE MEDICAL BENEFITS FOR PATIENTS?

Cannabinoids in medical cannabis act on the endocannabinoid system, a natural signaling system in the human body. The endocannabinoid system has a regulatory and protective function in the body and regulates pain, inflammation, sleep, appetite and memory, among other things.

The system consists of internal cannabinoids, the CB1 and CB2 receptors, along with substances that break them down. Internal cannabinoids are cannabis-like substances that the body produces itself, which work on the endocannabinoid receptors.
